Program Overview
Receive an Educational Assistant Certificate upon completion of the 1 year program. In partnership with NorQuest College, ECSD Dual Credit Program offers courses for students interested in becoming an educational assistant.
The Educational Assistant program prepares students to work in educational and community settings. The program focuses on diversity and inclusion, training students to support children and youth with a variety of learning needs, and helping them to reach their potential.

Course Details
Full Year September 2026 – June 2027: Educational Assistant
By providing inclusive classroom learning and hands-on practicum experience, the program equips graduates with the knowledge, interpersonal, and practical skills to support students both one-on-one and in small group environments.
Admission Requirements: English 30-1 or English 30-2: 60% minimum

Academic Assessment: Applicants who have submitted an application may be able to meet their academic requirements with a free assessment. Email, student.advisor@norquest.ca to meet with an advisor.

- Upon successful completion students will earn 40 Career and Technology (CTS) credits towards a high school diploma and receive 34 credits toward their EA certification.
