In June, we celebrate National Indigenous History Month to honour the history, heritage, and diversity of Indigenous peoples in Canada. National Indigenous History Month is a time for learning about, appreciating, and acknowledging the contributions First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people have made in shaping Canada.

Edmonton Catholic Schools continues to support the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action, Teacher Quality Standard, Leadership Quality Standard, Superintendent Quality Standard, and Division Goals.

To celebrate the achievements of our Indigenous graduates, Edmonton Catholic Schools hosted the 24th annual Honouring Ceremony for the Class of 2025.

National Indigenous Peoples Day: June 21, 2025

Every year, on June 21, Canadians celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples! ECSD schools mark this day in various ways, including school-wide activities.
